Our museum exhibits many Pelham puppets, Punch and Judy puppets and memorabilia, but also various automata for interactive and vibrant visits.
Punch & Judy celebrated its 350 years in 2019. Punch & Judy shows are popular and still performed by punchman (and punchwoman) across the country. I, Martin Scott Price, have been performing Punch & Judy shows for more than 45 years.
Pelham Puppets were first made in 1947 by Bob Pelham and production by the original company stopped in 1993. They were extremely popular in the UK, being sold at Hamley's, appearing on BBC and ITV. They are quite collectable nowadays. They can still be made to order.
